Slow Week

Slow Week

This week has been a bit challenging in terms of making extra time for the studio. I’ve been working on one larger pot, but beyond that, I haven’t had the chance to dive into bigger projects. However, the little I have managed to accomplish has been really enjoyable. Exploring these textures has been fun, and I’m excited to see how the burnout firing process turns out once everything is finished.

I’ve been gathering a few glazes I want to mix and test this week. There are a couple of highly textured crazing glazes that I think will be exciting to experiment with once I have enough forms ready for that stage. Also, I’m starting on my chair build this week. I have a solid game plan for its construction—I just need to take that first step and begin the actual building, so I’m pushing myself to get started.
