This week wasn't as productive as I hoped, but I did manage to throw some larger vessels on the wheel: three lamp bases, a vase, and a pendant light. I'll be experimenting with textures over the next few days. As I prepare for my trip to Copenhagen next week, I'm aiming to finish these pots so they can dry while I'm away. Although I'm eager to dive into these bigger pieces, it might be wiser to wait until I return.
The feedback from last week's class discussion has really helped me narrow my focus. I now have a clearer sense of what's achievable in the coming weeks and am adjusting my plans accordingly. I’m aiming to bisque fire two vessels this week that I made in August. Id like to use these as a jumping off point for the audio recordings. Maybe doing this early will help me know what I am looking for in the recording of the larger sculptures. We will see.
