The last couple of days have marked a shift as Grace, Hailey, and I prepare for our Space Lab show. It’s been refreshing to inject a bit of fun and mix things up from how I’ve been working over the past few weeks. It’s making me think that incorporating smaller, playful, and experimental projects into my practice might be worth exploring.
Today, while working on one of Grace's vessels, I realized how much I miss collaboration and how important it is to bring it back into my process.
Meanwhile, my larger vessels are being bisque fired as I write this, and I’m excited to start recording them soon. I’m beginning to imagine new directions for my work, which feels really energizing. Lately, this body of work feels less like a puzzle to solve and more like a path to wander on. That feeling fills me with both contentment and excitement.
